Wonder Fell Itself
Thoughts on Wonder Fell itself...
A Team Effort
The whole issue with American Government is it's acting like a team sport when it's supposed to be a team effort.
Saturday, January 24, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
How's the sunshine? O/
Yesterday's entry talked about establishing a post of Colore daily to go along with Wonder Fell and how this journal would become more of a place to discuss the creative process... Live.
That's still the plan.
World building is where I'm at with Colore right now. Unfortunately, spoilers being a thing, there's not much to discuss on it.
Daydreams to character build and analog lists of character dialogues to establish scenes was yesterday's business.
It's a difference an author of fantasy has to account for... World Building.
So not too much to write on Colore today because there's a lot of writing and working going on with Colore today.
...
Back to us and our right now. Here's a question to wonder about:
In a very non-conspiracy theory and very practical way, how much of what is actually going on in our Government do you actually get to see?
Really. Who tells the cameras where to go and what to show? A practical question.
Parents O/ You pick and choose what your children watch online to help direct their growth.
Whose choosing what you get to watch online?
You?
Really?
Whose directing your growth?
The whole issue with American Government is it's acting like a team sport when it's supposed to be a team effort.
We watch a game to cheer our favorite team on. We trash talk fans of the other teams for fun. We support our teams at all costs.
The problem with treating Government like a team sport is... life isn't a win or lose game.
Life is a process of having dreams and making them real.
For everyone.
Your dreams can only be as successful as the materials you have available.
Did you make your i-phone? Program Google's algorithms? Harvest the metals and minerals to build the machines to build your car? Plant the seeds and gather the crops for the food that feeds you?
Life, living alive! is not a team sport; it's a team effort.
How we treat each other is how we treat ourselves because we're in this together.
America it's time to remember a house divided cannot stand and throw out this us versus them narrative ruling the airwaves.
We're so much better than we're letting ourselves be.
And so I write to remind us.
Take care, stay warm, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Behind the Wizard's Curtain
I do this as a Poet writing a story. There is a major distinction here.
Friday, January 23, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Tagline done. How's the day? O/
...
Business thoughts this morning.
Colore. The story posts a new verse every Friday... that's the way it's set up at present.
What I'd like to do, and it is ambitious and unheard of, is post a new verse of Colore everyday along with Wonder Fell.
As 'live' a process as possible to writing a tale.
So today is for setting that up.
I may still post a new verse later today.
The important thing for a writer is to find the way they work best. Prolific and continuous for this Ghos+.
If you read an Archaic Slab at the end of a post, you'll see I don't edit much. It's experience; it's trust of voice.
It's the same with prose.
No vanity... just a point of order for business.
My sentiments are that for a time Wonder Fell is to become a 'discuss what's occurring craftwise in Colore' place of record.
With all the talk on the power of Story found here... how about I walk you through the process of creating one?
As I create one.
So I'll take you behind the Wizard's Curtain in Oz and show you how the magic is made as we make the magic.
What works for one creative endeavor works for them all. The steps we'll go through work for all Artists, for all people who have a dream they want to make real.
I do this as a Poet writing a story.
There is a major distinction here.
Poets use the shape of the genre and the sounds it welcomes to reinforce the metaphors we're making.
Colore is a Hero's adventure through a Wonderland of Dreams juxtaposed to snippets of speeches and conversations we hear in our lives.
The pairing of the two demonstrates the power of Story in what we call The Real World.
Colore will show how not listening to the wisdom of Story is the cause for all the hardship in our lives.
Some will find interest in the How-to thinking in some Wonder Fell posts. Others will just want to read the tales.
Either way thank you for reading.
You see... in order to write a good story you have to have a sense of morality always in mind.
If there is one act that for certain would heal my Country right now it's: Keeping a sense of morality in everything we do.
There is a right way to live. The way of Story shows us how.
Expect a change in Wonder Fell soon.
More Prose and Practical Process.
Artists rarely talk about how we do what we do. And though it's beyond what numbers can measure, the creative process can be shared and replicated... creatively.
(Sorry AI. You can never create anything... only regurgitate.)
Take care, thanks for reading (prose-y-er days ahead!), and make wonderful this wonderful day.

My Country Could Use Some Help
The way a plumber, electrician, or carpenter fixes up your home so you can have a better life, so the poet works with language.
Thursday, January 22, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Glad you're back. O/
On with our show...
...
Getting the words right... my life's work.
You see the craft of the Poet is a very practical thing. The way a plumber, electrician, or carpenter fixes up your home so you can have a better life, so the Poet works with language.
Your home and your words haven't always been here. Someone had to build them, care for them, keep them going.
Imagine your life without words. We're monkeys without the work I do.
We take language for granted because we rely on it, but words are made.
There are times when our words aren't doing justice to our shared experience.
Like lately.
Enter Poets.
Because Love always begs definition Poets are associated with romance. But my business is the word business. Assuring we have ways to best express our experience is what Poets are for.
A carpenter helps you fix your front door. A Poet helps you heal your language.
Sure you could fix the door yourself. Maybe watch a YouTube How To or ask an AI bot to walk you through it.
But the professional who's been fixing doors everyday for nearly three decades is going to do a better job than you or AI.
And so I write.
Making words to overcome impossible situations is how I spent almost everyday of my adult life.
My Country could use some help.
Healing language finding, and at times making the right words, is my business.
Enter Colore.
The stories we share aren't representing our best selves. Moreso, our words don't mean all they could, so they don't mean all they should.
If we want to be patriotic about it: In a Nation with a Living Document as its foundation, Poets are our Country's best defense.
And so I write.
The idea of Colore is to remind us the power of our words and stories.
The juxtaposition of speeches and conversations in our day to day life (The Side-stories) with that of a story in a world of stories helps prove the point.
Our language is not only how we define things but also ourselves.
We can only ever be as good as our understanding of our words.
A story is the best genre to remind us of the power of, and our responsibility for, our stories.
Colore will remain entertaining to some degree. Our stories go best when they are.
But a story's point and purpose isn't entertainment. Every tale told is a reminder of what it means to be human.
In earlier entries I wrote, like a social media artist painting a picture while you watch, I'd write about the crafting of Colore as I write it. Consider today's post doing that.
Writers. O/ Make sure you know why you're writing whatever you're working on.
"Because I'm good at writing," is never reason enough to write anything at all.
"Because I have something important to share," is the best reason to write anything at all.
As always, thank you for reading.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Why Wonderfell?
Hell isn't other people; it's a world of hopeless stories.
Saturday, January 17, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Glad you're here. O/
"Do you ever feel like not showing up, like not writing, in the morning, Wynn?"
-Favorite Wonder Fell Reader
It's work. It's duty. It's doing what I love. It's doing what's right.
I fought for so long to be able to. Now, when I wake, I'm so grateful for the win, I just start.
And it is work.
My Country needs help. The people suffer and don't understand why.
We blame money, ego, greed, bigotry, racism, misogyny, and a lot of other words.
But the true reason is our language itself.
The true reason America suffers is in The Stories We Choose to Share and Digest.
Because what we watch and report is where we assert our value.
When we continuously showcase tragedy and call it News, we tell each other tragedy is worth our attention.
There are just as many good deeds, more I'd say, going on in America than tragedies.
This is not a call for naive optimism.
This is stating the fact that: What we feed grows.
We, as a Nation, have decades worth of feasting on tragedies.
And if the restaurant, The Media, wants to stay in business it has to serve what the people are eating.
Our stories chase ambulances instead of heroes. This is why our Country looks and feels the way it does at present.
We make showcasing Hell a profitable enterprise. People like to profit. They need profit to survive. And so we surround ourselves with Hell in an effort to just stay alive.
Good News is marketable. People love heroes more than nightmares.
Surely you'd rather watch a person rescue a cat over watching them shoot it in the head.
Don't say positive stories don't sell or you are the whole symptom and disease.
A story absent of hope isn't a story; it's an opinion.
Our News stories turned to News opinions a few decades ago. We're living in the consequences of a world feeding on stories devoid of hope.
Hell isn't other people; it's a world of hopeless stories.
Where's Hope?
In our storytellers who still recognize life is worth something good.
If the News is slow to remind us, our Artists need to be quick.
I write about An American Renaissance being a cure for our National malaise because hope has to flood the words we feed on soon if our Country is to survive.
We're better than the stories we're choosing to share.
Why Wonder Fell?
A guy from New England pulls away from society to write deliberately in his journal for a time to remind himself what's truly worth valuing in the World.
Over a hundred years ago Henry did the same. If there was no Walden, there was no 'Civil Disobedience,' and so no game plan for Gandhi or Martin Luther King.
Literature like Wonder Fell can matter that much.
It is my Hope it truly does.
Thank you for reading, for choosing hope over tragedy.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

The Stories You Tell Yourself
What to wear today?
Monday, January 12, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
What an interesting place, our World... this Life.
Remove human drama for a moment and consider what we have to witness.
There's The Sun.
Different angles and intervals of light rule the days.
The oceans wave to churn.
Air picks up its pace, or slows, in a great dance called wind.
Water is a fashion show model always changing outfits to suit the scene.
Ice, snow, steam, and rain; mist, hail, and slush... water cycles a perpetual strut, the sky for its catwalk, the clouds for backstage dressing rooms.
What to wear today?
Then there's the land with its conditions. Certain seeds only grow in certain soil.
Mother Nature dresses differently for different temperatures.
Arctic snowmen have nothing to wear in The Amazon.
Everything grows here as a function of time. Even rocks erode and change shape. Some stories call it impermanence, but it's just what time is for.
Life is a circle going somewhere; Time spins the wheel.
Where we're going depends on the stories you tell yourself.
There's too much wonder, too much order, too much beauty and the possibility for love, for Life to be arbitrary.
Why do stories work? The answer is not plot points, three act structure, or The Hero's Cycle.
Those are maps for methods. Why the same story makes people of all shapes, sizes, and cultures laugh and cry at the same moments is evidence there's more to Life than microscopes can measure.
Perhaps Science stays away from the question of why for reasons of foresight. Story and Art already have the question of why well under control.
Wonder Fell addresses the power of story often; it's the gateway to faith.
There's no preaching here. We all must find our own way. Which means finding the stories that best help us understand and experience all Life has to offer.
Speaking of stories, Colore is about to take-off into more fantastical fun.
I'm glad to be able to share some stories with you. I hope (and Hope does, too) you enjoy them.
As always, thank you for reading, take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

What's Wonderful for You?
2026.01.11
Sunday, January 11, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
How's the day? O/
Something wonderful for you...
What words would re-spark wonder in your life?
"Free money. Just read."
How's that?
With all the majestic mountains, and the magic of moonlight, and what love can and does do; have we sunk so low?
Where do you place your value? What's wonderful for you?
Life is worth so much more than where we place our value, lately.
Our stories are loud, flashy, sensational with our music; hints at morality hold them together because morality is an essential part of any work of art.
Because doing what is right means reaffirming Life's intrinsic value.
Living... to be alive is a wonderful thing.
How did so many, so often, forget?
I blame our stories, our lowercase arts.
We match Art with Entertainment and attempt to equate the two. But the purpose of Art is the opposite of Entertainment.
Entertainment distracts; Art demands attention.
The first helps us forget. The latter makes us remember what it means to be alive.
Every morning I write at the miracle of dawn because somewhere in all our computing, all our money woes and ways, we trained ourselves to forget.
Another New Englander over a century ago left his modern world and set up shop in the woods to see about living deliberately.
Every morning, going on two years, I write the sunrise to remember this miracle called Life.
If your world is flat and lacking joy, reset your alarm clock, watch a few sunrises, and remember as you watch the star come over the horizon: That doesn't have to happen.
Wonder for a few moments why it does. Be grateful for all it allows. Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Since the Dawn of the Moon
2026.01.08
Thursday, January 08, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
There's Love, there's Life itself, there's every emotion known and more, there's the realm of all that Science cannot measure; there's the work of The Poet.
O/ How's your sunshine?
Are you a writer? Do you keep a journal?
You should.
Artists keep sketchbooks to practice their expressions through lines.
Writers should keep a journal to metaphorically do the same.
We draw with words; we write the sunshine.
Every shadow, shape, color and line expressed by an Artist is, for a writer, a potential placeholder for our craft.
But words do more than just mimic shapes in space.
There's a whole realm of wonderful in each of us.
Words are always the starting point for expressing what is alive in us, of what we are.
...
Sometimes, though rare, Wonder Fell goes personal. What compels someone to take on such a task?
Poets have neglected the sunrise since the dawn of the moon. But there's hope in every morning, another chance in every new ray of every new day.
More than that there's the power of words and how they're linked to identity.
We are responsible for every word we share, through breath, ink, or pixel light.
How easy text messaging and the Internet allows us to forget.
Your words are a part of you, ambassadors of who you are, always at work building your identity, your place in the World.
Illness and tragedy kept me from being able to share words in ways so many of us take for granted for so long.
Wonder Fell, personally speaking, is a way to share some of who I am with a World I was kept from for so much of my adult life.
Now that remission and beating death are out of the way, there's much I have to share... that I've wanted to for a very long time.
It's all good news; we could use some.
As always, thank you for reading. Please, if you find it helpful, stay and read some more.
With so many words, there's something for everyone here.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Owning a Sense of Wonder
2026.01.07
Wednesday, January 07, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Welcome back. O/
More than a convention, it gets the gears going.
Wonder Fell's first line every morning.
The previous sentence is not a classic sentence.
There are many non-classical uses of grammar on the site.
It's a journal.
Journals and text messages allow more freedom in the world of syntax.
So does the profession of The Poet.
Somebody's gotta make the rules my Stuffy-Stuffy Grammar Gals.
Part of a Poet's Credo: Grammar is a canvas; not a prison.
"How's that work?"
-Interested Reader
Refer to your text messages for a more (ungrammatical) detailed explanation.
...
A conversation with humanity at sunrise.
Everyday.
Just a short, "Have some breakfast. Enjoy your day. Here's some things to wonder about... post,' for you.
Because owning a sense of wonder is integral to living a good life.
So many of us forgot or never knew it was an option.
We all have this thing called Life... we share it, but we also have our own.
The quality of every life is determined by the quality of its relationships.
How we get along with all things determines our well-being.
This means your friends, your partner, your business associates, your dog or cat, your car, even your toaster and the horizon at dawn.
...
Blue-light behind billowy clouds this morning.
Dawn shows like your best friend at midnight asked if you wanted to see the two month supply of ice cream they have in the walk-in freezer.
"Sure," you said.
As they opened the air-sealed door the lights came on, iridescent yellow and blue glowing clouds of steam around every flavor on every shelf.
What's your favorite flavor?
Pick it, enjoy, take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.
