What's the use?

Developing a Practice

2025.12.30

Tuesday, December 30, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

We write. We draw. We sing and strum. We create!

O/

Thank you Artists of all kinds for showing the world it's Beautiful.

Keep going.

More than hobby or craft, it's generosity.

Those quiet moments we spend alone in daydreams, when the busy world does its busy, yearn to be shared.

We sit quiet, observe our minds, feel with our imagination the world... we feast on dreams.

"Where do you come up with your ideas?"
-Friends Who Don't Consider Themselves Creative But Are Always Quite Busy

We stare at walls, we do the dishes, we gather dreams.

Alone time... introspection is all part of the process of Art.

The best dreams come in quiet safe places,
Alone, or with friendly trustworthy faces.

Our dreams are beautiful; that's why they're worth sharing.

But it is easy to be lulled into a lullaby of idleness by them.

This is why it's important to have a practice set up: to develop the habit of making.

That means allotting time to wander, to daydream, to be idle.

Remember gathering is part of the process, too.

Everyday doings: laundry, washing dishes, showering; are great times to gather dreams.

Your body is comfortable with the tasks.

Unless you jog everyday, a walk is always better than a run for gathering dreams.

Your body knows what's required.

So there's no deliberation required.

This is another, perhaps the most important, reason for developing a practice. Your body gets comfortable with the process of writing, of drawing, of singing and strumming. And because it's comfortable dreams come easy to fill the craft.

Just show up around the same time everyday and make something. After sometime the dreams will come.

When we try, when we force, the trying and the forcing go into the work and are shared with the audience.

It's disingenuous somehow. Like you don't believe it's good. That disbelief, then, goes into your creation.

Cut it out.

Show up.

Remember you love making and make!

Write a simple sentence. Draw a stick figure. Sing a scale. Get into the rhythm of making.

Writers often talk about the different ways of making a story. There's two camps: Plotters and Pantsers.

Plotters make a map and follow it. Pantsers sit and write by the seat of their pants.

These are actually the same process; it's only a matter of trust and timing.

Stories all work in a certain way. There are plenty of books and courses to show how.

The writer makes a character and then takes them through the certain ways of a story.

The metaphors and details are all that's new.

We can make those before we start writing (plotter), or while we write (pantser).

For me, I make a mental note (sometimes written) of "this happens then this happens then this happens...end scene," just a short list before I write each scene. A quick plot to get my pants comfortable.

Why get into the car if you don't know where you're going?

This works for all forms of writing and Art. Know where your Art is going and know the trip to be worth the ride. Your enjoyment of your creation is infectious.

Do you recall driving backroads when the sky through the trees turned a beautiful shade of you-didn't-know-skies-came-in-that-color?

Bring back that feeling while you write if you want your writing beautiful.

Just be in the feeling of what you want to share, then be sincere.

Enthusiasm is always a great feeling to have while creating; it gets viewers excited to see your work, and to be alive.

Sun's up. Clear, cool day in December.

Thanks for reading, work some today, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

The Kind of Work I Do

2025.12.28

Sunday, December 28, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

"What a thing to do... write each day at dawn this Epic Letter Poem."
-Interested Reader
"Well, I was here anyhow and it's rude not to include you."
-Friendly Poet Including You

Thanks for reading.

...

It's amazing; we rarely consider it. Give it a thought or two... what happens when we read.

What these symbols called letters do ought to fill us all with wonder.

Here we are having a conversation of sorts.

And though, we've not met in person, though there's no pictures or videos of me here, I can wave to you. O/

And though, you don't see my humbly handsome self greeting you, you do recognize me somehow.

So who are you reading while you read Wynn?

That's the true reason for +he Ghos+ avatar... to make that point.

It only takes a couple hundred words, maybe a poem or two, perhaps a look at Colore; to see there's no way I'm AI.

The rhythm and context of my words are my own.

What we are transcends algorithms.

All that Life is cannot fit in a line of computer code because it requires what's alive to make it.

There's something more than human about being alive.

Yes, I'm talking about spirit, about dreams, about what happens while you read, about how you know me. O/

We are our dreams and what we choose to do with them.

It's important we remember as AI establishes itself in our lives the reasons why we are irreplaceable. It comes down to our relationship with dreams.

...

At times Wonder Fell appears to delve into deep thought metaphysics, but these ideas are soon obligatory for us to understand what living is about as AI makes more and more of what we defined necessary obsolete.

If you think a robot version of you would do a better job at being you, then you better reassess your definition of what it means to be human.

Being human is about what we choose to do with our dreams and whatever the heck Love is all about.

Beauty, Joy, Wonder... the realms and work of The Poet. We've been quieted and misunderstood in my Country... overlooked by default.

Our current National state of affairs owes itself to the neglect of the kind of work I do.

What good is freedom without a basic recognition of Life's intrinsic values?

Poets, not price tags, define value.

You don't want a new car, house, jewelry, or more money. You want the experience of having them.

Poets paint experience in words, so we can better understand how to best express our lives.

What constitutes a good life remains regardless the time, but the stuff of our lives, the toys and tools, change.

Those toys and tools are sleeping metaphors waiting for Poets and Artists alike to show the morality of, to show how they fit, how they best serve a wonderful and good life.

This poet O/, at present, is tackling AI and Identity in this Internet Age.

A daily journal, with no bio or pics, is the best genre to do so.

Thanks for reading.

...

Our Science and Our Politics are out of sync. Our stories don't serve us well-enough. It's why we're falling apart.

An Epic Saga is the best Poet's Genre to show this.

Enter Colore.

Wish me well while I return to writing it for us.

As always, thank you for your time and consideration, take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

The Subjective Nature and Inconsistencies of AI Imagery

2025.12.27

Saturday, December 27, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Do you keep a morning journal?

If you're a Writer, an Artist of any kind, it helps.

Start the day defining your priorities.

Writer, Artist write some lines!

Everyday, of course. Might as well start first thing in the morning.

Isn't your Art at least as important as your cup of coffee?

Let it know.

Start the day with at least a few words or sketches. Don't be concerned with quality or quantity. Just show up. Make anything at all. You're a creator. This is who you are. This is what you do. Affirm yourself to the World every morning.

"Good morning, Life. Here I am. The person that makes new things. O/"
-Writer or Artist At Work Getting It Done

Keep showing Life who you are and Life keeps helping you out.

It's what practice is all about.

Do a little bit of what you love every morning with your cup of coffee or tea.

For no other reason other than you love to.

Everyday remind the World who you are, so the World can help you be it.

...

I started reaching out to Artists. This campaign to show the inconsistencies and subjective nature of AI is near its end.

I would much prefer to offer the place for images on Wonder Fell to Artists.

A gallery of sorts.

💡
Actually, that's a great name for it. The Gallery: Of Sorts

The Gallery: Of Sorts on Wonder Fell.

All sorts of Art and Artists in The Gallery: Of Sorts on Wonder Fell.

Coming Soon.

Till then there's fun showing the subjective nature and inconsistencies of AI.

Btw: AI images are helpful. There needs be no hate from Artists regarding AI Imagery.

The term 'AI art' has to go; it's an impossibility. Art is made by dreamers. Machines don't dream. A piece and part of every Artist is in every work they make.

It's easy to see if you look at enough Art.

The difference between an AI replica and an original piece is easy to spot.

The pictures my words create for you, as you read, are directly For You. AI making an image out of them is at least a step, if not hundreds, removed.

AI is always, in all ways, a collaborative translation.

The Ghos+ Point, again....

Thanks for reading this morning journal gone Epic (literally).

Take care, make something, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Dreams... a Tangible Air

2025.12.26

Friday, December 26, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Welcome back. O/

Hope all's well.

The day after a holiday, what to do?

Back to everyday rhythms.

...

Something interesting for writers, and anyone who likes to embark on creative endeavors, is the consistency found here.

"How do you know what to write about everyday? Don't you get writer's, artist's, creative person's block ever, Wynn?"
-Curious Writer, Artist, Creative Person Reader

You have to be willing to sit and daydream for awhile. This appears to go against modern get-it-done just-do-it thinking, but if you want to make Art of any kind you're going to have to be alone and still at times.

You have to fill up on daydreams to have anything to share.

You can become technically proficient and focus on craft through mimicry. But that's not Art, that's copying. AI does that. AI does not make Art. It is simply impossible for it to.

Dreams are the reason why AI will never be an Artist of any kind.

It's +he Ghos+ Point.

Art is the process of sharing dreams through a new expression.

Art is an extension of the Artist. The two can never be separated. Every brushstroke of Da Vinci's is a part of him; every word of Keats holds the whole world of Keats in it, too.

We share our whole self with The World with everything we do.

To me dreams are a tangible air. Have you felt as much?

Like fish swim in the sea, we walk and wake in a current of dreams.

It's how your best friend knows how you're feeling even with your poker face on. You share dream space.

Thanks for sharing dreams with me.

...

Friday, so another verse of Colore posts later. A little different today. Like playing an epic RPG with side quests, this epic has 'side-stories.'

Today's side-story is a speech by Hope's mother while she was running for Senate.

Thanks for reading, take care, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

A Place for Adjectives

2025.12.17

Wednesday, December 17, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Dreams.

There's a whole lot of discussion of them on the site, but what are they?

Stories making sense of each other.

The narrative of our life is a story we tell ourselves.

A culture is a tapestry of stories shared among a group of people.

Stories of people deal with morality because we're beings of choice.

Science is the shared story of stuff.

It's dull, predictable as a rule; Science is no place for an adjective.

But Life is.

And so... enter the necessity for Artists.

O/

We all have a Life; we all want a good one.

Good is an adjective.

The relationship between Art and Morality is integral.

Art, in order to be effective, must speak to quality of life.

If an adjective doesn't come to mind when you read a story or poem, look at a picture, or hear a song; the art is ineffectual, a lesson in craft at best.

"That's beautiful. I love that."
-Every Artist's Desired Audience Member

Art invokes experience.

Years of study has shown me that the emotional response that the Artist wants from its audience must first be in the Artist.

If you write and perform a love song with little capacity to love yourself, the tune is flat and no one is lifted by it regardless how well crafted it is.

It's this Ghos+ business.

It's spirit.

And as every staunch Scientist rolls their empirical eyes, every Artist points out what we create about forces every eyeroll.

Keep it going, Artists. There's so much more to Life than adding it up.

The World, right now, could use the reminder.

Thank you for reading and sharing.

Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

A Better Use of Space

2025.12.09

Tuesday, December 09, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Welcome back. O/

Lola's back.

With the arctic like temperature, Abe thought it a gentlemanly dog thing to do to bring her inside last night out of the cold.

All her squeakers are still intact; he still takes his time with her.

Proof chivalry isn't dead. It's just no longer gender, or species, specific.

How's the sunshine?

Still a half an hour or so till dawn here.

On with our show...

...

Some of us dream quiet dreams of
Togetherness alone and loud.
Others dream with the volume up
Alone, the whole stage to themselves.

There's a feeling to dreaming well unlike any other.

It's like reading a wonderful book. You're at peace, but you're changed by it too.

There's still so much to say about spirit and what dreaming is all about.

They coincide.

Calling where dreams come from The Unconscious is like calling where planets and stars dwell 'Space.'

It's an admittance of ignorance.

Humanity is at a tipping point.

We're building machines better at Science than we'll ever be.

What comes next?

Dreams and the act of creation.

Artists unite! The world is soon, finally, all ours!

I use AI images on Wonder Fell to make a point on the limitations of AI. They're collaborative translations from software developers.

I also use them for the sake of time.

I will reach out to artists online soon and offer them free gallery space.

It's important we help each other out.

A few paintings, sketches, crafts, or sculptures a day from different artists is a better use of the space.

Sun's up.

Wonder what the Sun thinks of the arctic chill.

It can always feed the evergreens.

Thanks as always for reading, take care, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Practical or Fantastical

2025.12.08

Monday, December 08, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Dreams, how are yours?

Inspirational, practical, and wonderful is my hope for you.

During the end of the year, when the Sun rises later on the clock, I write these posts in pre-dawn dark.

Speaking of wonder... I wonder how the seasons effect our writing, influence our words.

Years from now this journal will show clear evidence of the influence of the seasons on a writer's voice.

The feel of each morning is put here as clearly, comfortably, and honestly as possible.

The effectiveness of writing is directly proportional to the clarity and sincerity of the writer.

But how does one honestly write fiction?

Isn't a fictional tale by its very nature make-believe?

It comes down to dreams.

The more clearly we project our imagination onto a page in words, the more successful the piece of writing is.

This goes for all works of Art.

And Life.

The conveyance of dreams is what we're made to do.

Dreamers sharing dreams with other dreamers sharing dreams is what Life is all about.

What are you doing today?

As you answer that question your mind is full of your dreams of the day ahead.

Practical or fantastical a dream is a dream fashioned to and by the dreamer.

...

Time to live your dreams.

Ambassadors of Who You Are

2025.12.07

Sunday, December 07, 2025

Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.

Dawn and welcome back. O/

Wake up, remember where forward is, and go.

A so much to say morning.

That's the feeling I equate with what others call writer's block: Having so much to say, how to decide which thought and where to start?

Relationships, dreams, business, moonlight off snow-covered landscapes, the shape and stretch of trees, the songs and silhouettes of birds in winter... thoughts to list.

...

It's time to pick up the pace on Colore. Expect more frequent posts.

Artists and the interested, I do hope you find this writing about writing The Epic, while I write it, helpful.

With text becoming our preferred way of communication, it's important we all develop our skills in writing.

If Wonder Fell has one main point and purpose it's to accentuate and remind the powers of the written word.

Your texts aren't arbitrary thumb slaps. Every word sent is an ambassador of who you are.

Language matters so much. It's a secret code we teach our children to survive in the world.

Like any other skill we can learn to improve it with the choice to do so. It comes down to intention, the desire to be clear.

Clarity and sincerity are the measure of every writer.

And every truly successful person.

To believe in the veracity of your dreams, and create language clear enough to build those dreams, is the recipe for a good life.

And a good story.

Back to Colore and Epic Faerie Tale dreams and how the power of story rules the world.

Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.
