How About You?
2025.11.26
Wednesday, November 26, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Thanks for reading. Glad you're here. O/
On with our show...
...
Writers writing right, how's your craft?
So much more of the world is textual than it was a century, a decade, a year ago.
A great time to be a writer for sure.
Even if it's not your profession, the ability to write, and to write well, is a more important skill to have now than it ever was.
Sure AI can craft a sentence, but it can never say anything new.
Artificial Intelligence cannot paint a picture like Da Vinci if Leonardo never painted one first.
AI cannot write like you if you never wrote like you first.
We become better artists and authors by emulating masters. But mimicry is not the point, a better expression of self is.
A writer finds their voice, an artists finds their style; that most comfortable way for them to clearly express themselves.
But this act is not limited just to the Arts. Our whole life is an expression of our whole life. We are always creating. So it's dire we focus on developing our means of expression.
To clearly express to the world who you are ought to be at the top of everyone's to do list.
Every breath, action, and utterance shows Life who you are.
We're dreams doing our best to express ourselves with the material at hand. This includes our body.
We use what's around us to best show the world what we are.
Words and good deeds work best for me.
How about you?
Sing, paint, read, build something, cheer on a friend, teach, learn... what do you do best to best express you?
It's the secret to happiness if you find it and live it on purpose.
It's also called doing what you love.
Sun's up... overcast light rain and warm for the season.
Hope all's well. Consider what you love to do, what that says about you and how you best express you, take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

What the First Line Is For
2025.11.16
Sunday, November 16, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Words with the sunrise. Welcome. O/
Just write.
That's the advice writers, would be and are... Just write.
Van Gogh told another painter something like, "If a voice tells you that you can't paint... paint. And paint and paint. Only by working will that voice be quieted."
So, writers with your blocks... shut up.
And just write.
Kindly said, of course.
It's not like you suddenly forgot how to make a sentence, so make a sentence.
What's called writer's block, any creative block at all actually, is a matter of specifics.
It's not that you can't write; it's that you feel you can't write that.
That being whatever you want to write about.
Here's the cure, and Van Gogh knew it too: Just write or paint or create anything at all.
Making art of any kind is a physical process, and objects and Artists tend to stay in motion unless interrupted.
So shut up and stop getting in the way. Just write, paint, draw, play music.
Stick figures! Nouns and verbs! Notes and sounds!
It's what the first line in every Wonder Fell morning post is for... takes the guesswork out, gets the pen moving.
Artists, this is work.
Writers, every sentence made is a fulfillment of your profession.
Our work is all giving with no guarantee of worldly return for our time spent laboring.
All acts of Art are acts of generosity.
We share of ourselves what we value most in the craft best suited to ourselves.
For some it's words, others lines and brushstrokes, others the melodies and harmonies of music.
Life is ultimately about sharing Life. All Art is a conversation rooted in generosity.
This journal, these poems, this Epic I work on, are all ways to speak with you, for you, for us.
Vincent saw a starry night a certain way and thought he might help you to see it that way too.
Van Gogh didn't need paints to see his starry night; you do.
Mark Twain didn't need pen and ink to go on adventures with Huck and Tom; you do.
Beethoven didn't need a piano to hear the moonlight's sonata; you do.
All Art is generosity.
We can tell so much about a culture by the Art it values.
America's been a quick shock treatment entertain me now connoisseur culture for a century or so now.
But there's more to life than speeding it up.
There's quiet considerations.
A sunrise. A sunset. The wag of a dog. The purr of a cat. What laughter is for. And love. And wonder. And love.
What happens when you read, see a painting, hear a song?
How do you know me?
My dreams are here. I share them with your dreams every time you read.
Are we good friends yet?
Let's check.
Are you glad to see me wave? O/
That's your relationship meter for us: Your reaction to the Circle-Slash. O/
Thank you for sharing dreams every morning.
Thank you artists of all crafts for your generosity.
Thank you readers for your consideration and the dreams you bring to my words.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Metaphor the Sky
2025.11.10
Monday, November 10, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Welcome back. O/
Quiet. A little background music, no words.
An airplane overhead.
Light highway traffic pre-Monday morning commute.
Even the dog isn't snoring.
About an hour till sunrise.
Hope all's well with you.
On with our show...
...
The words are the important thing.
Period.
Even in regards to the AI images: They're about the words used to create them. See the "Same Prompt" located at the end of posts.
Do the pictures match? Check for yourself.
As Wonder Fell grows the AI pictures will be replaced by work from Artists.
A gallery of sorts, with links on how to reach them of course.
A new Artist everyday... 365 new galleries a year... happy to help.
Want to go Art shopping? Eventually, you'll come to Wonder Fell for it.
...
Practical Monday morning thoughts.
Gaining some solidarity for the American Art Community is a goal here.
Art, in America, from music to the fine arts, and literature, has been a transient thing, a shapeless protean form.
To be a Great Civilization you have to have a well-defined Artistic Way.
Think Italian Renaissance and Greek Mythology for examples.
We've had Art movements, but no distinctly defining style.
Time to change that.
Eclectic Rock and Rap Pop Fantasia so far.
...
Sun's up now, misty morning dew, soft grey to white lifts from the horizon.
Pick a wild metaphor to describe your sky.
Text it to a friend.
They like when you're weird.
Thought you should know.
A good phrase to end a weird text message metaphorical description of the sky to your friend...
"The Mothership armada spacecrafts are coughing out billows of exhaust over the golden Autumn horizon at dawn... thought you should know. 😄👍"
All Life contains the possibility of wonder.
Thought you should know.
Take care, metaphor the sky, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Collaborative Translations
2025.11.06
Thursday, November 06, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Full moon light through the window on the screen as I write.
How's your dream? O/
Hope all's well.
On with our show...
...
What about all these AI pics littered over Wonder Fell?
They create a more interesting space for the morning journal.
Artists of the world be at peace! AI can never draw a picture, paint a painting.
It can only show a record of what's been done.
AI will never make anything new, never show us what we might be, what we might see, only where we've been and what we recorded.
An AI image is closer to a sentence than a painting.
That is one point Wonder Fell makes with the "Same Prompts" left at the end of each post.
Programmers are translating code into vernacular.
What we see when we see an AI image is a group of programmer's translation of the description.
It's like reading a translation of a poem; it's at least a step removed.
If there's any intimacy to be gained, any relationship with an AI image, it's between the prompter, the program team and the viewer.
So when you view a picture on Wonder Fell what you see is a collaboration.
How the program teams of Google, Ms. Copilot, and Grok understand and translate my sentence.
Nothing more than that.
There is the human element in it.
AI imagery is a collaborative translation.
Not Art.
AI is what worked and not necessarily what works.
Advice from a history book is AI's legacy.
Reliable, helpful, only ever as useful as someone else's memory is to your life.
It's memory devoid of feeling, though.
We're so much more than rational creatures.
We're dreamers doing our best to share this space called Life.
Rationalism, empiricism, computation help us share the space.
Enthusiasm, wonder, beauty, joy, love, and awe make living worth our heartbeats.
You can't find them in any image, AI or otherwise, until you recognize them in yourself.
O/
Take your reaction to my circle slash wave for proof wonder lives in you, as do beauty, joy and whatever in all creation love is.
Once a more active involvement with the readers of Wonder Fell (you ofc) is established and this Ghos+ business is in the past with AI's information, I'll offer the spaces where I place AI pictures to Artists to show some work.
No charge but a thank you.
The world needs what drives artists, musicians and writer's more than ever.
Three hundred and sixty five Wonderfell posts a year, a new artist per post...
Let's start a Renaissance.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Take a Breath, Artist
2025.11.04
Tuesday, November 04, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
A new day. Welcome back. O/
Hope you slept well, hope all's well.
On with the show...
...
Quiet practicality. A simple sensible life.
Ever want one of those?
Artists, musicians and weavers of words, to create anything at all requires metaphorical fire, a spark of the spirit is necessary to make anything new.
This means enthusiasm.
But an enthusiastic spirit doesn't have to be wild. There's a holiday candle in a glass jar set to safely burn the whole day. There's a wildfire on the coast.
The creative spirit works the same way.
The vessel that contains the fire of creation is you.
Will you warm a room with a portrait painted on the wall, or start a wildfire with a politically antagonistic punk rock band?
Sensationalism has its place. It helps inspire us to move, but does little to warm the heart.
I'm more a warm the heart to inspire you to move kind of artist.
A furnace with a thermostat versus a sensational burn the house down inferno stage show.
It helps to know your audience. How to best express your inspiration is found there.
A successful story told to an eight year old makes different sentences to be successful told to an eighty-eight year old.
Same with the notes of music, the brushstrokes of painting.
...
The Sun's up now, Autumn's rustic gold; it burns or warms.
Temperance in fire and spirit determines the quality of creation.
Take a breath, Artist. Be careful how you spend your fire, but make certain you do. Hold a torch too long and you become the torch.
Find ways to create that fascinate and inspire you.
Work that craft until it becomes as simple as sending a text message to a friend.
Then, send your friend your loving inspiration.
Everyday.
Take care, spend your fire, share your spirit, and make wonderful this wonderful day.

This Ghostly Manner
2025.10.27
Monday, October 27, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
How's the day? O/
Time to write the morning.
Hope all's well with you.
On with our show...
...
Dark. Daylight Saving Time, this year, is a welcomed event.
Sat here in the pre-dawn dark with a candle, a hound-dog, a cup of tea not coffee, and some cereal, waiting for the light.
Anticipation is bringing me down and the sun up.
Another so much to say to you morning.
The more I write Wonder Fell the clearer its audience becomes.
You're Artists or people intrigued by the creative process.
My people. Good morning. O/
Life, though, is a creative process.
Have a dream and make it real. What we all do all day.
Philosophy this morning is for the birds. I'll let them know as soon as they arrive.
So here you are spinning around a supernova on a sphere spinning itself through a vacuum called Space staring at a glowing cube with flashing lights on it making sense of some symbols a guy calling himself +he Ghos+ made before sunrise.
To give you your exact GPS coordinates.
...
I've got "Epic Brain," this morning.
Anyone whose ever had more than one project going on at once knows this feeling.
My thoughts pull towards: Colore.
The first time I published the Epic's title. ^
This whole Ghos+ business will make some very practical sense real soon.
It's important for so many of the themes in Colore that I remain anonymous as possible for awhile.
It throws profiling out the window.
Yup, an American Epic called Colore, by an author we know little, but so much about (six hundred and four posts worth).
It's one reason why I've shared with you in this ghostly manner everyday for over a year now.
Consider Wonder Fell a getting to know you session, a conversation with your introverted often in daydreams friend who never lets you down. O/
There's a lot we need to talk about America, a lot we need to remember.
Like common decency and what Hope is for.
Thanks for reading.
Onto other pages for you to read later.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

The Materials of Art
2025.10.26
Sunday, October 26, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Oh Autumn, with its slow sunrises... taking time to gather all the colors of Fall before showing.
How's your day? O/
A so much to say day in the air here.
So, let's go.
On with our show...
...
"How do you know what to write about?"
- Interested Reader Who Also Writes
There are a few ways to go about writing.
One: Have an idea, sit, and start.
Two: Sit and start. See what comes and keep going.
They both come down to listening, a certain kind of trust for your imagination and your craft.
Your craft is your imagination's means of transportation. The pun works.
Craft also grows. The more we create the more we can create. Skills advance, too.
Imagine if every time you drove your car the car itself provided a better ride.
That's the creation experience of showing up consistently to create.
Musicians know this. You have to play everyday. Practice, they call it.
The analogy blurs between practicing playing an instrument and writing in that there's a right way to play Bach, but what's the right way to write you?
You could practice writing like your favorite author, but it's disingenuous somehow.
You get good at mimicry. It's acting not writing. It's a step removed from you.
There's an aspect of knowing yourself required to make art. A familiarity with your dreams and perceptions of life is necessary to create anything sincere.
So you have to sit alone and know yourself.
Any artist in any craft devoid of a knowledge of a relationship with their dream of life can only ever be an actor at best.
So many of our screen playwrights and popular musicians fall into this category.
It's the difference between Art and Entertainment, a mocking bird and an eagle in flight.
Any Artist truly committed to Art for Art's sake is always viewed as a loner. Not because of personality quirks, but for the sake of their business.
We have to sit alone, be alone, to harness a genuine understanding of our personal experience of life so we can best express it.
We're not anti-social; we're working.
If you're consistently creating, you're not depressed. You're gathering materials to create.
Daydreaming and self-reflection are necessary skills of any true artist.
Tell your friends and loved ones you're working and go stare at the wall.
Every Artist will know where you really are: Feeding yourself with the dreams necessary to sustain your art.
It only becomes what we call Depression when we don't have a practice developed. Choose your craft. Choose many. Sing or strum, write or paint; the idea is to create for a set time everyday.
Even if it's just one chorus from one song, one sentence, or stick figure drawing at first. Something. Everyday.
Your whole life will improve. Stay consistent. Enjoy it.
To make anything requires materials. You're not depressed Artist, you're gathering dreams.
Dreams are shapeless things, spirit. We give them form through the creation of thoughts. Our thoughts become actions.
Have your actions preloaded. Pick up your instrument at the same time everyday, write, paint, draw, sing. Shape that dreamtime stored in you with your craft.
Some call it a flow state, but it's really just being prepared.
Preparations are made by daydreaming. It's part of the work Artist.
Thank you for taking the time to gather dreams and share them.
Take care and make wonderful this wonderful day.

Facing the Right Direction
2025.10.14
Tuesday, October 14, 2025
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Welcome back. O/
Not to go all guru on you, but here's a Buddhist Proverb I remembered this morning:
"When you're facing the right direction all you have to do is walk forward."
That's Wonder Fell for me, facing the right direction, sharing what I love to do and create with the world everyday.
I hope you have something similar in your life.
If it's not practical to do what you love right now, then do what you're doing with love.
Now Wynn's sounding like a guru talking in the third person about Love.
He does that sometimes. O/
On with our show...
...
To just sit in peace.
Sometimes... writers and artists don't talk about this enough, sometimes the feeling and state of being required to create art is enough.
To be still in daydreams of creation is to be pure potential. Life wants to create. So Life loves a dreamer in a state ready to create.
We work so hard to get to a place to bring fresh dreams to life; the world can be so loud, so often.
Commitment helps; it's an adjustment.
Like showing up for the sunrise everyday...
It's a pact between myself and Life.
"This is when writing happens."
-Wynn Tells Life Everyday
What was difficult, getting to a place of peace to create, Life recognizes is now just the 'right thing.' It's what happens when I wake.
Artists of every kind, it's important to develop a consistent practice. It puts Life in your corner. It makes a friend of Time.
Start a practice Artists. Make a date with yourself and keep it. Write or draw anything at all. Make sure you do. Even a single sentence or single brushstroke is fine at first.
The point is to create.
It gets consistently comfortable, but only by showing up and working.
There is magic in all artistic endeavors. But it won't be made manifest by cowards. You have to show up. The magic of creation has to have a host it trusts to be made real.
So get reliable in your practice. Be worth what you want to create. Be consistent and you will be consistently inspired.
Take care, show up for your dreams, and make wonderful this wonderful day.
