Thoughts on Art...

Music for the Eyes

Variety in color is as much a necessity to The Earth as variety in music.

Thursday, May 14, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Light clouds, light rain, light for breakfast, a sunrise in Spring.

Hope all's well dear readers.

On with our show...

...

A clock ticks, a dog dreams, a clock tocks, a robin sings, rooftop chimneys are a rustic red from the rain.

The color palette changes with the cloud cover and the time of day.

Have you noticed?

The whole world is a symphony of color.

The harmonic hues of Nature show Life is more than scientific. Mother Earth is an artist, too.

Just as in music certain notes produce certain effects, so too colors coincide to make chords.

It's disgustingly difficult to discuss color still in my Country without politics rearing its ugly ignorant voice.

So instead of an essay, I work on an Epic to remind us the beauty in Nature's visual song.

A dozen African Violets grow in the same pot by the window where I write these morning entries. And though each flower is violet, not a single one is the exact same shade.

Like you and I.

If every songbird, house dog, cat, or human, were all the same color; there'd be nothing worth sharing, no variety, no stories, no interactions other than duty, no way to grow.

Nothing new, so no way to grow.

Same leads to the same; variety means the hope for something better.

If every songbird and human looked the same and sang the same song, I'd stay in bed. The Sun would have no reason to rise other than more of the same.

Variety in color is as much a necessity to The Earth as variety in music.

Color is music for the eyes.

Back to The Epic.

Art Unlocks Doors

Art unlocks doors; Entertainment starts a party.

Friday, May 08, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

A cool, crisp, clear sky, colorful dawn. Birds sing from tree branches and fencepost tops like city street neighbors sit on stair stoops and call out to one another the news of the day.

Generosity: It's where Art comes from.

The difference between Art and Entertainment is in the intention of the creator.

"Look at what I can do!"
-Entertainer
"Look at this!"
-Artist

Our reasons for sharing go into the work.

Regardless of how precise the technique, how correct the craft, if the intent of the crafter isn't to share a new or helpful view of the world with the world, it's a circus act.

If someone paints as well as Picasso and never uses that skill to share something unique about themselves with the world, they're nothing more than carnival entertainers... enjoyable diversions.

Entertainment has its time and place, but it is not Art.

Art unlocks doors; Entertainment starts a party.

All great Art has an element of joy in it. We love the possibility of growth.

View a painting, read a story or poem, hear a song and think, "Well I never imagined Life like that before," and you know the experience of Art.

Entertainment mocks; Art shares.

Consider the AI Prompt

Welcome to The Art Show fellow nerds. O/

Wednesday, May 06, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Every sunrise is a new Art Exhibit.

Every Day another chance to exist in a picturescape of wonder.

Hundreds of sunrises recorded in a row now... Poetically. A reflection of a poet in the looking glass called morning.

"Poetry? In the time of AI? Huh?"
-Businessperson
"It's our only hope."
-Artist

Quite soon the business of humanity turns to Art.

Really.

Consider the AI prompt...

Soon the most novel and inspired prompts will be what measures success.

Enter The Age of Poets.

Well... one can dream.

Obviously.

...

A Large Language Model is Science's best representation of a human with correct answers.

Grok, Gemini, and Claude are 'A' students.

But there's a whole lot more to Life than acing an exam.

There's teaching for one.

Who teaches AI?

Artists, Visionaries, Dreamers.

Also Known As: The Readers of Wonder Fell.

AI couldn't make a picture like The Mona Lisa if DaVinci didn't first, couldn't tell you much about calculus if Newton hadn't dreamt and recorded it.

So, no worries Artists. AI isn't making us obsolete; it's making us invaluable.

But we already knew that.

Dawn comes late in some countries... like Science.

Welcome to The Art Show fellow nerds. O/

The idea of every creative endeavor is to express something new.

Life is a creative endeavor.

The idea of every work of Art is to share a unique witness of The World with The World... because Wow you should see, hear, and know it like this, too.

Art and Science are generous creative endeavors.

You're Not a Robot

You're what can make a robot.

Saturday, May 02, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Light rain dapples dew on the promise of Spring. Buds blossom to bloom on every tree branch in front of a backdrop of a dimmed sunrise.

Decades ago an acquaintance of mine asked, "Why's everything gotta be so deep with you all the time?"

I realized if I wanted to keep them as a close friend I'd have to become more shallow.

I moved on.

The ocean has always been more than atoms deep for me. The sea waves like blood flows to keep the whole Earth vibrant and alive.

Ocean deep thoughts for dreamers like us. Thanks for reading.

To hold and assert poetic thoughts during quick-tech-get-it-done-AI-is-better-at-your-job-than-you times like we live in is a noble pursuit.

And our greatest hope and purpose.

To have great dreams and make them real is what Life is all about. AI can help. That's all AI is: Help.

We can never be replaced because we are dreamers first.

Thinkers? No. A thought is a dream put into words.

Dreams come first.

'Deep' thinkers have bigger more grandiose dreams.

We could use some more people like that.

Visionaries whose new ideas (dreams encapsulated in words) expand what it means to be alive, to have Life at all.

So much of humanity's immediate future is going to be: Coming to terms with how humans differ from machines.

You're not a robot; you're what can make a robot.

A dreamer with the right words can change the whole world in an instant.

Find the best words for your best dreams and go make something worth living and sharing.

The World in Words

The Internet is The World in Words.

Tuesday, April 28, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Poets for millennia howled for The Moon; I sing the sunrise, write the dawn.

What a singer does for lyrics a poet does with sentences and stanzas.

...

Years ago humanity started texting more than talking. To a poet the experience is like being a professional singer when the whole untrained room starts to sing and screech arias.

Speaking brought to the level of Art is singing. Writing brought to the level of Art is poetry.

An untrained out of tune room full of people bellowing arias is the state of so much of The Internet these days.

How do we find harmony?

It's in why we use our words, what writing actually is, and our responsibility to it.

Our words are an extension of ourselves. The difference between the spoken word and the written is a matter of time.

A rude comment said makes the commenter an unsavory person to anyone within earshot.

A rude comment wrote makes the writer foul every time it's read.

Accountability. We pay and are paid for our words every time they're read.

We wonder why things aren't getting better while we continue to write about, and so share, awful things.

Every article, post, and text made to voice negativity answers our question. They add up; they stack up.

The Internet is The World in Words.

What do you add to our shared literary Life with your sentences?

I urge you to consider bringing more positivity to The World Stage, for your own sake, and all you care about.

Life, for people, is at least a two-fold experience. There's a word and there's the experience of the word. But there are always words.

Caring for our language is caring for ourselves... and Life itself.

My concern is we forgot or were never told:
We can only ever be as successful as the definitions of our words.

Thanks for reading.

Just Some Guy's Journal

"Yup. Shh, I'm reading."

Monday, April 27, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

"Just some guys journal."
-Non-Wonder Fell Reader
"Yup. Shh, I'm reading."
-Favorite Wonder Fell Reader

Really, they're just words with the dawn, poetic thoughts at daybreak.

Some of us are into deep-thought heavy imaginative space-out quests; some of us change The World with our dreams.

Dreams are like everything else in Nature: They take time to grow.

Daydreams are the most useful imaginings.

Go for a walk, take a bath, clean the dishes, look out the window at nothing particular. Times like these invite warm living Imagination.

I think it's secretly why runners enjoy jogging so much: Time to dream.

After you've trained for sometime, a jog is a quiet time alone with your dreams.

Athletes call it a runner's high. Artists call it: "This is what we've been talking about for centuries."

That runner's high place is the state Artists create from. Recognition of its importance helped us train ourselves to get there without massive physical effort.

Nothing wrong with going for a jog, though I think walking is better (in the long run).

Better for your overall well-being. Less physical stress leads to a better quality of dreams.

Thoughts with the sunrise.

Thanks for reading.

Daylight is a Bath of Fire

^ Something a Large Language Model didn't know.

Sunday, April 26, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Some big changes to Wonder Fell are in the works.

A rearrangement and redesign.

Business thoughts with the sunrise today.

I'd rather discuss the dark clouds on the horizon being engulfed by the lavender rays of dawn.

Though, being a poet, I suppose it is my business to do just that.

...

Just a poet's morning journal in a world adjusting to Artificial Intelligence to help us remember what words are for...

Making dreams come true.

The colors of dawn are as varied as the fire from a candle's wick. Sunshine speaks to us with a painter's palette of sparks and flame. Temperature is our star's favorite medium.

Daylight is a bath of fire.

^ Something a Large Language Model didn't know.

The World needs honest witness to grow.

The World needs Art.

...

Today's new; it wants thoughts of business.

So that's where I'll go.

Thanks for reading.

Go make something wonderful.

Stay tuned. Good changes on the way.

Quiet Considerations

The quiet consideration of people in quiet rooms is responsible for all the great ideas and accomplishments in the world.

Saturday, April 25, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

With all the get-it-done-quick make it flashy, make it sell, look at me LOOK! ways so prolific in the world right now, I thought some might find interesting, and reassuring, to be reminded there are other ways to live a good life. So I post my morning journal online for free.

What a poet, or Artist of any kind, considers worthy of note things like AI and big business deals aren't much help with.

It's easy to forget with all the sensationalism that there are other valid ways to think about and live your life.

The quiet consideration of people in quiet rooms is responsible for all the great ideas and accomplishments in the world. It's where and how the most helpful and most beautiful creations come to life.

From: The quiet considerations of people most of the world assumes are lonely, but are busy at work using the solitude to help shape their dreams.

Life is the process of making dreams real. Great accomplishments require a great dream and dreamer to imagine them.

So Artists and Inventors must be alone and quiet to be fed supplies to do their work.

Think of Imagination like a prompt fed to AI. The more precise and in depth the information given the Large Language Model the better the reply received.

So an Artist, Inventor, Theoretical Physicist (Einstein sat and daydreamed for days), gets alone to gather the materials necessary to make real their dream.

Time spent 'idle' or 'doing nothing' is actually time spent gathering materials. As long as part of the day is spent making something real, idle time is always part of the work.

There is no AI without the initial dream that makes the prompt.

There is no work of Art without the initial dreaming to build the Art with.

Think of Imagination like potter's clay. The required amount is necessary to make the thing real.

I'll keep my journal online for free. At the very least, for a reminder to creative spirits that we aren't alone being alone in our work.

Hopefully you find some comfort here.

Thanks again for reading.
